The examples below represent projects completed for nonprofits, associations, and small businesses. Some documents have been redacted to protect confidential information.
Administrative Systems & Workflows
Challenge: No administrative systems were in place and key organizational functions—including communication, reporting, record keeping, and data management—were not occurring consistently due to limited volunteer capacity.
Role: Developed practical administrative systems and workflows to support day-to-day operations. Established processes for communications, reporting, data collection, record management, scheduling, and information sharing. Worked closely with volunteer leaders to create sustainable systems that could be maintained over time.
Result: Improved organizational efficiency, more consistent communications, reliable reporting processes, and better access to organizational information. Reduced reliance on individual volunteers and created a stronger operational foundation for future growth.
Examples:
Monthly DASHBOARD process

Expense Reimbursement Workflow

Membership & CRM Systems
Challenge: Member information was stored across multiple spreadsheets, email lists, and databases, with no consistent process for maintaining accurate records or managing communications.
Role: Consolidated and organized membership data, developed procedures for ongoing maintenance, managed registration and membership records, coordinated communications lists, and generated reports to support organizational decision-making.
Result: Improved data accuracy, streamlined communications, reduced duplicate records, and provided leadership with reliable membership information to support planning and engagement efforts.
Example:
Membership Renewal Tracking Database with Roles

Board Support & Reporting
Challenge: The volunteer Board had a general awareness of membership, events, and finances, but lacked meaningful data to evaluate organizational performance, member engagement, and operational priorities.
Role: Developed systems to collect and track membership, website, financial, event, and communications metrics. Prepared regular reports and dashboards that translated organizational data into clear, actionable information for Board discussions and decision-making.
Result: Implemented monthly financial reporting (Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements) and a comprehensive Board Dashboard highlighting key metrics, trends, accomplishments, and priority tasks. Enabled more informed and data-driven governance discussions.
Example:

Website Content & Updates
Challenge: No centralized repository of information existed that members and industry leaders could search regarding certification and education opportunities, regulatory updates and requirements, membership opportunities or other important details.
Role: Organized content, developed page structure and navigation, coordinated migration to Squarespace, created and updated content, and provided ongoing website maintenance and support.
Result: Successfully launched and now maintain a modern website that improves access to member information, centralized communications resources, and provided a sustainable platform for ongoing updates and growth.
Examples:
Newsletter & Socials
Challenge: Volunteer Board members could not ‘find’ the time to put together a newsletter. Resulted in patchy communications that fell on one individual.
Role: To invite, and receive content submissions and organize into template. To manage the subscription list for accuracy and to publish the newsletter on a regular schedule.
Result: Established a regular six-times-per-year publication schedule, developed content calendars and coordinated contributions from multiple stakeholders, improved communication consistency, increased member access to industry information, and reduced reliance on a single volunteer for content coordination.
Examples:

Event & Program Coordination
Challenge: Volunteer organizations often lack the time and capacity to coordinate the many administrative details required for successful events and programs.
Role: Supported registration systems, venue details, speaker coordination, communications, vendor management, scheduling, reporting, and participant administration.
Result: Delivered well-organized events with improved participant communication and reduced administrative burden on volunteers and leadership.
Examples:
Event Registration and Performance Analysis

Not-for-Profit Governance & Administration
Challenge: Volunteer-led organizations often struggle to keep up with governance, compliance, reporting, and administrative requirements while balancing day-to-day operations.
Role: Supported Boards and nonprofit leaders with annual society filings, bylaw revisions, policy development, Board documentation, AGM preparation, financial reporting, membership administration, GST registration processes, and organizational record keeping.
Result: Improved compliance, stronger governance practices, more consistent documentation, and reduced administrative burden on volunteer leadership.
Examples:
Annual General Meeting Agenda

DRAFT Policy Document

Process Documentation & Continuity Planning
Challenge: Critical organizational knowledge existed primarily in the heads of contract staff and volunteers, creating risks around continuity, onboarding, and succession.
Role: Documented procedures, developed process maps, created operational guides, and organized key information to support continuity and knowledge transfer.
Result: Reduced organizational risk, improved onboarding and training, preserved institutional knowledge, and created resources that support smoother transitions between staff and volunteers.
